I’m Tom Mikesell. I and my wife Melissa live in Yorktown. We have a ‘67 SS 2 Door Hardtop that is on its second season on the road. It is repainted/redone in Marina Blue with the white SS stripes, same as it was from the factory. It has a .060” over 396 with an Edelbrock carb and iron exhaust manifolds. It has 50 series Flowmaster mufflers. It originally was a powerglide car, but we’ve installed a T56 6 speed, which was a challenging installation for the car, but it turned out to be a real pleasure to drive.
We also have a ‘48 Studebaker Truck streetrod that we’ve had on the road since ‘87. It has accumulated some wear & tear over the years of driving to shows as far as from Michigan to Tennessee, so we are starting a re-do project on it. The cab has always been a little cramped for legroom (for a long-legged guy like me), so we plan to perform a “stretch” of the cab incorporated into the re-do. Attached is a photo of the truck as it is now and an edited photo/concept of how we hope for it to be after the stretch. We are also considering changing-up the paint scheme on it as well.
Concept picture (really, it’s not done yet, just a great photo enhancement)

We look forward to sharing experiences with & continuing to learn from other club members as we make updates to the Chevelle & proceed with the Studebaker project.
