I also have the ‘69 prostreet Chevelle here, ‘65 GTO, and a ‘69 Camaro.

The pictures below are from my Dad’s collection of pictures from the mid-late ‘60s.

This is Dad’s ‘68 Malibu.  It’s quite fitting that my first car ride was in a ‘68 Malibu and my first car was a ‘69 Malibu!  When I was born (Sept 24, ‘69) Dad was stationed at Ft. Knox, KY.  Yes, I’m an Army Brat.  Mom and Dad lived in this trailer park near Ft. Knox while he was stationed there.

Dad’s ‘68 Malibu.   Few will understand the subtle irony sometimes found in life, and the 2nd described on this page, but this car’s demise came with the unfortunate meeting of the driver side door and a tree.  I guess the saying that the “apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” is relatively appropriate!  And fortunately in this case, not too close.

Dad apparently also had an affection for the Chevelles.  While stationed in CA, he and a buddy rented this ‘68 Malibu for a weekend.

And here’s a pic of a ‘66 Malibu post-car that my uncle Randy owned.

The ‘65 Chevelle convertible pictured here was my Mom’s.  She still talks about it to this day, and is still mad at Dad for selling it.

Photos taken at the Friends Church in Fairmount, IN.

‘58 Chevy Dad owned when he was 15.  Not a bad car for a poor farm boy still in school!

‘62 (I think) Chevy II Dad owned at one point.

Dad traded in a ‘52 Chevy in on this ‘55 when he was 16 years old.  He ran a chicken farm before and after school, and during his lunch hour to earn money.   I guess the chickens paid off.  This car was originally all brown, and Dad had it painted as shown here following an incident with a fence.

Dad’s ‘66 Plymouth Sport Fury III.   He thinks he bought it in the Fall of ‘65.  It had a 383, 4sp, posi-track.   He raced it in CA while stationed there in the Army.  You can see one of his trophies on the hood.

While the color looks pink in the pics the actual color of the car was Gold.
