This issue's member spotlight is on Larry and Pat Cook. They live in the Franklin area and have a '67 Malibu convertible that's currently "under construction". Pat bought it in 1970 and says Larry had a nice '69 Skylark when they met but thinks Larry married her to get the Malibu (they obviously kept the right one). Larry and Pat have been married 26 years. Pat has two grown children ages 36 and 34 (Larry is stepfather), and four grandchildren ages 10, 9, 7, and 5.
Larry is 50 and grew up in Trafalgar. He graduated from Indian Creek HS and served in both the Army and Navy. After many years of being a plumber, he is now a maintenance person for the Franklin school system. He collects model draft horses and Hot Wheels cars.
Pat is 54 and grew up in Franklin. She graduated from Franklin Community HS and from Ivy Tech with an Associates degree in marketing. She has worked at Grocers Supply in Indy for 24 years and collects Boyd's Bears.
They have both worked for the Indiana State Fair Board during the month of August for the past 28 years.

Cheryl Seaman of Indy (yes she is related to Rod Seaman).

Tidbits

The 2006 Corvette Z-06 has 505 Hp, weighs 3147 lb, and goes 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. 1/4 time is 11.7 at 125 mph. Top speed 198 mph. This beats the Ford GT, Viper, Porsche 911 Carrera S, and Ferrari F430. It also beats the gas guzzler tax with 16 city and 26 highway mpg. It has an aluminum frame, magnesium engine cradle, carbon fiber fenders, 427 cubic inches, dry sump oiling, titanium connecting rods, and CNC ported heads. It can be yours for $65,800 MSRP.

The Farringtons have a "new" '67 Chevy Suburban. It's slammed down with big meats and a 327 4 speed. Way cool!
Bob Murray has sold his '66 Malibu. He's now "Chevelleless". No plans at this time to get another.
Donnie Arthur is inching ever closer to getting his '71 Malibu back on the road. Maybe yet this year? This decade?
If anyone that worked at the St. Francis car show was left out of the "thank you", email from Clarence, blame me (Von). I supplied the list. Sorry if I missed anyone.
