Hi Everyone,
This is my first” Goin Thru the Gears“and I just wanted to cover a few concerns. These are covered some in the update that was mailed to each member.
First, we will be moving the meetings around to different parts of town. Hopefully this will make it easier for people to attend a few meetings. Secondly, when able, we will get specialists from different shops to come talk to us ,or we will have the meeting at their facility. They will be able to answer some technical questions.
Thirdly, I think a big concern is what shape our cars are in. I’ve heard some people think this is a club for show cars only. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Heck, I’ve been driving a ‘72 Chevelle as a daily driver. I think it may rust away to nothing in a couple of years. I call it the Green Monster, and you may see it at a meeting or two. The truth is you don’t even have to own a Chevelle to be a member. The only requirement is that you love Chevelles. Most of being in this club is all the friendships you will develop. I have met so many people in the last two years and it’s been great. Please don’t hesitate to come to a meeting.
Now for the fun stuff. Our car show is just around the corner, and should be a good time. Come on out August 28th to Sonic in Plainfield. Indy Cruise is also coming up pretty fast. It will be October 1- 3 in Speedway, Rockville, and Indy Downs. There’s still lots of fun summer stuff left.
I hope that everyone will like the changes in the club. Your new officers are excited about them.

Editor's Note: The August meeting will be at the Suds in Greenwood on August12th at 6:30. The September 9th and October 14th meeting will be at the MCL in Castleton at 6:00. The MCL is at 5520 Castleton Corner Lane.
