The sun was out and the temperature perfect for a nice cruise in a Chevelle on Sunday September 23. The destination was the HSCA September meeting and Fall picnic at the home of Chuck and Florence Collins.
Burgers and hot dogs provided by Chuck and Florence were on the grille and pitch-in items brought by attendees were on the table, making an impressive spread. Needless to say, no one went away hungry.
Tickets were drawn for leftover door prizes from the HSCA car show and several desirable items were handed out, including some gift certificates from Hinshaw's Chevelle Parts. The recent HSCA car show was discussed for any possible improvements to be made to next year's show. Things went pretty smooth this year as the show is getting really fine-tuned after our 4th effort.
Ken Townsend was honored and presented a plaque for his outstanding contributions to the club. The trophies he crafts out of wood and glass for our car show are truly works of art.
