Super Stock Hemi, Thunderbolt, W-30, Super Duty, Ram Air IV, Stage 1, L-78, Six Pack, AAR. If you know what those words mean, you should've been at Ray Skillman Classic Cars in Greenwood for the HSCA meeting on January 12. "Stack 'em deep" was the rule here with over 240 classics, customs, and muscle cars (mostly muscle cars) on display in one big showroom. Almost all are for sale too. There were cars with the previously mentioned taglines, plus Shelby Mustangs, big block Corvettes, Fuelly Vettes, L-78 SS396's, 409 Impalas, 421 Catalinas, big block Camaros, and many more "tamer" musclecars, all in pristine condition. Some other classics and a few customs and race cars are sprinkled in but most are low mile original, or restored to original. The place is a huge 65,000 square feet, with a several bay restoration area, 3 paint booths, offices, etc., and some of the vehicles get varying levels of restoration there too. Auto memorabilia and vintage signs are plentiful as well. Car clubs and enthusiasts are welcome but by appointment only. You can view the cars on-line at www.rayskillmanclassiccars.com. After the January HSCA meeting in a large meeting room, we scattered among the cars for a closer look. Pics are below and on the next 2 pages.
