This issue’s Member Spotlight is on Von Cassidy. Von is 54 years old and lives near Mooresville with his wife Nancy. He was born and raised in Tell City, Indiana, then attended Lain Tech in Evansville, where he received a degree in Architectural Drafting in 1969. He moved to Indianapolis that year and joined the U.S. Army Reserve for 6 years. He started working for Indiana Bell (now SBC) in 1970 and retired from there in 1997. He met Nancy in 1984 at Indiana Bell (SBC) and they were married in 1987. She still works at SBC while Von sits on his rear at home.
 Von became interested in cars in grade school and has been a Chevy nut ever since. Some cars he has owned include (2) ’56 Chevys, a ’64 GTO Tri-Power convertible, a ’70 Nova 396-375 hp, ’70 and ’73 Monte Carlos, ’69 and ’73 Corvettes, and ’82 and ’85 Z28 Camaros. And the ’69 Chevelle SS he presently is a slave to. In 1976 he built a ’69 Corvette 427 for NHRA drag racing in the B/Stock Automatic class. It won a couple of class trophies and briefly held the 1/8 mile National Record in 1979. The best Ό mile time was 11.28. He sold the racer in 1983 and bought a new ski boat. He sold the boat in  1997 and bought his present Chevelle to restore. He’s been working on the Chevelle and testing chairs ever since. His other interests include wood working, drag racing, boating and water skiing, and home projects.

Ron lives in Noblesville, In. HSCA Dues Renewal With the start of 2004, it's dues time for HSCA. Dues renewal is $10.00. If you joined H.S.C.A. on or before January 31, 2003 your dues are due on January 31, of 2004. There will be a 2 month grace period on the payment. If it is not paid by March 31, 2004 it will be assumed that you do not wish to renew your membership. If you joined after 1/31/03 your membership dues will carryover until January 31, 2005 with the same grace period.
