  What's the true definition of "Performance"? Years ago it was just how fast a car could go or how quick it could accelerate. Later it evolved to include handling and braking. Now, even though some may disagree, fuel economy and emissions control is a part of the total  "performance" package. With gas prices spiking well over $3 per gallon, fuel economy is pretty important. We're seeing more and more interest to not only increase power but overall efficiency as well, thereby increasing economy as well as power. More classic car owners and hot rodders will be seeking a balance between power and economy instead of just raw power. Performance isn't just horsepower and torque anymore IMO.
