This issue's member spotlight is on Ken Ward. Ken is 51 years young and has been married to Phyllis, also 51, for 34 years. They live on the south side of Indy and have three grown daughters and one 28 month old granddaughter, Morgan. Morgan is the light of their lives. She was born at 25 weeks and weighed only 1 lb, 14 oz at birth. She spent her first eight months in Riley Hospital and had many surgeries but is doing fine now.
Ken has lived in Indy his entire life in the Fountain Square area and on the south side. He graduated from Tech HS in 1972 and married Phyllis in June of that same year. Ken has worked for Citizens Gas for 28 years as a fleet mechanic and has been a reserve police officer for the Homecroft Police Dept for 6 years. He is now a Sergeant. Previously he was a reserve officer for the Clermont Police Dept.
Phyllis retired from SBC in 2004 with 30 years service. She now works part-time for Tundra Refrigeration.
Ken owns a beautiful blue '72 Malibu with a 400 small block and TH350. He has owned so many other nice older cars he says it would take days to tell about them. His hobbies are working on cars and houses. He also likes to watch football (his favorite pro team is the Bears) and NASCAR races (his favorite driver is Dale Jr). He goes to lots of car shows on weekends, especially if the charity is Riley Hospital. He has a big place in his heart for Riley because of all they do and all they've done for Morgan.

DUES WERE DUE JANUARY 31, 2006. If you joined before January 31, 2005, and haven't yet paid, your $10.00 renewal was due Jan. 31, 2006. The grace period was up March 31. If you haven't renewed, you are no longer a member and must pay new member dues of $15 to rejoin.
