This issue's member spotlight is on Rick and Twila Hornback and family. Rick and Twila have been married 19 years and live in the Brownsburg area. They were both born and raised and married in southern Illinois. They have a 12 year old son, Tyler, and a 9 year old daughter, Shelby. Both children are active in sports and regularly make the honor roll in school. Rick has an Associates Degree in electronics from ITT Tech and Twila has an Associates Degree in Office Administration from a community college.
Rick and Twila moved here from southern Illinois in 1989. Rick has worked for SBC (formerly Ameritech) for 16 years and is currently the Fiber and Loop Electronics Manager for Indianapolis. Twila works part time as a bookkeeper for 2 law firms.
Rick is into 60's muscle cars and has owned his modified '69 Chevelle SS396 since high school. It currently has a 427 with nitrous system, Muncie 4 speed, and 9" Ford rear end. He shows it at car shows, cruises with it, and occasionally drag races it. He also owns a '70 Chevelle SS396 that's in nice mostly original condition except for the 454 he built and installed this past winter. Rick also enjoys pheasant and quail hunting and shooting sporting clays. He also spends time on home improvement projects, and coaching kids' baseball, soccer, and basketball.
Twila enjoys collecting Longaberger baskets, working with landscaping in their yard, shopping, and taking care of their children's needs.
The family spends as much time as possible together and attend Brownsburg Christian Church. They enjoy HSCA and have made many friends there. Rick says he's found great value in the technical expertise regularly shared within the club.
