I am Mike Pell and I currently reside just east of Mooresville, IN. I have a blue ‘69 Malibu that is a total frame-off restoration. I 'back-halfed' the car, meaning that it has a narrowed rear clip replacing the rear section of the frame, 18.5" wide tires, and a totally custom trunk (flat alum panels only) with a fuel cell. The rest of the car is pretty much stock in appearance, including a full stock interior (including the backseat!). The drivetrain has been upgraded to a 500-550hp 454 backed with a 5sp TREMEC transmission, and a Ford 9” Moser rear-end.
Another special feature of the car is the very subtle ghosted Bowtie and flames on the side of the car. Look closely if you ever see my car. :-) And the NASCAR stock car exhaust tips exiting the exhaust just in front of the rear wheels.
Below is a pic of my car. I’ve had it since 1985. Lots of memories and experiences with this car, both good and bad. :-) The wiring harness under the dash had been on fire previous to me owning it, so that caused lots and lots of less-than-fun wiring exercises!
Please feel free to check out my car at http://www.prostreetcar.com. I have lots of pics of the restoration process.
