Email: Jim Lapossa’s ‘66 Chevelle
This Chevelle belonged to my best boyhood friend, Frankie Maddox. He and his father had a garage at Rockvile and Washington St, and lots of old-timers knew him and his ‘52 Chevy Pick-Up with a 427. My Chevelle is a true 396-375hp car, and I have the original engine. It now has a 427-425hp engine that was in it when he was killed by a drunk driver in ‘81. His father, Frank Sr., has kept it mostly stored since then. I bought it in Jan ‘05 and went with an original look, including wheels and tires, and I’ll try to keep it as Frankie had it, and any changes will be to make it more correct and original.
This isn’t my first ‘66, as I bought a new Artesian green SS396 from Nankiville, IN in ‘66, but sold it when I went to Viet Nam in ‘68.
