This is my 1972 Chevrolet El Camino custom. It is in stock condition. I'm the third owner and I just love it. The car was painted five years ago with  original color. The numbers matching engine and transmission. I have added the 15" Rally wheels, spoiler, and tonneau cover and had to update a period aftermarket radio. This will be the first year since 1996 the caruck was street able.

We did a lot of over due maintenance;

  • Springs front and back
  • Shocks Front and put new air lines in factory air shocks
  • Rebuild brake systems with plungers and springs and new hoses and pad.

The master cylinder needs a little love, but is functional strong. Needs cleaned and plated. All the lights work and replaced all the fuses.  I purchased some new chrome and replaced were the worst pitted ones. I have plans for new or replating bumpers.

~Looking for front 2 new or NOS bumperettes?

Interior is all original and needs only minor repair which in banking some times to complete this winter.

I have a spare engine which is 70's 350 which is strong and will swap out while rebuild the original one.

  • New battery tray and new battery.
  • New hoses water pump and belts.
  • Waxed and cleaned a lot too!

So it is real reliable and a real head tuner not a racer.

We live in Columbus, Indiana and attended many show this past summer including: Columbus Corvette, Rising Sun, Indiana Live, Waymansville, New Castle, Columbus downtown, Vernon, Nashville, Rock-and-Roll car shows and Weise Car Show. We attended a couple of Ritters cruise-ins and one in Anderson went to dinner a couple of times.

We did attend the Carlise 50th El Camino Anniversary celebration. But the EL Camino was not at the venue. We stored the car in Indiana with NY plates right now. My shop the all of the maintenance and repair was completed at my camp.

~ Looking for a 1972 Indiana license plate with white and green with 714 on it? These are my AMA riding numbers.
