After owning a new ‘66 Chevelle when we were married in Sept ‘66, we had always thought of owning another one.

So in June of ‘08 we found this red ‘66 in Ohio!  I just built a 427 425 H.P. motor which will be put in during the winter of ‘08, along with some lowering, 3” exhaust, and a few other minor things.  We can’t wait to get started on it!

1968 ProStreet Chevelle, 565ci BBC!   with a Richmond 5sp, Dana 60 with a Detroit Locker and 3.54 gears, Hoosier ProStreet Radial tires (31x18.5x 15).  The paint is a Black base coat/clear coat with a black vinyl top.  The engine is a Darg M block, with Eagle crank and rods, J&E 10.6:1 pistons for pump gas, and Dart Big Chief 18* ported heads.  It has a Barry Grant fuel system with a BG400 electric fuel pump, MSD trigger with front drive dist.

We bought the car in 1991 and actually finished it in 1999.  We went from a 427ci, to a 468ci, to a 555ci, and now the 565ci.

The car has ran a best 1.27 60’ with the 555ci and TH400 trans.
