"Augie" Augustin
Hi, I’m Augi Augustin Sr. and I live in Greenwood, IN. I have 1964 Chevelle two door wagon that is undergoing (and has been for a while!) a complete frame-up rebuild. I’ve have had this wagon since 1993, the nicest of another ‘64 and ‘65 previously owned.
This one was located in a Whiteland, IN barn missing the original 283 and powerglide, but in decent overall condition. I installed a modified 454 big block, TH400 and 12 bolt rear end (all from my first car, a ’71 Monte Carlo SS) in the spring of 1996. After a fun-filled summer of cruising, the wagon was disassembled in December of 1996 for a thorough list of updates.
Upon joining HSCA in the spring of ‘03, I have met many wonderful people that are as avid fans of Chevelles as I am. This has inspired me to make more time to “wrench” again. My son, Kevin Jr, also enjoys the hobby and helps out once in a while. We both look forward to another great season with the HSCA, even if the wagon isn’t quite ready for the road!
