Dave Himes’ Automazing Performance Classic Car Day, Apr 21, 2007

Dave Himes of Automazing Performance Center not only knows how to build a race car, he knows how to throw down a great event also.  As is par for the course at Dave’s events at his shop, the weather was perfect, the Wisconsin brats were fantastic, the atmosphere is great, the cars are plentiful, the BS-bench racing is a hot topic, the games were fun, the prizes..... and the tech session was very informative and relevant.   phewwwww, Yes, I enjoy going and look forward to the Fall event.

The Reaction Time competition paid out $200 to the winner, and $100 to the runner up (and no entry fee!).  Many door prizes were given away, including Indians baseball tickets, oil changes, and fuel additive.

If you haven’t made a trip to Dave’s events, you’re missing out.

Here’s Automazing’s new Engine Dyno facility.  Dave demonstrated the dyno with a 598ci engine that put out an impressive 1,040HP !  (naturally aspirated)

Don’t let the dog fool you, he got plenty of attention, and was very well behaved.  Apparently he wasn’t all that impressed with the tech session though.

The GTO club.

Moe Himes ‘51 Merc (and it’s a fat tire car!).

There were some street rods present also.
